Virtualization and Cloud Computing
The Cloud, the new kid in town, everybody knows what a Cloud is, nobody really knows what a Cloud is ....
Five years ago nobody talked about Clouds , Amazon was building a system to dynamically deploy and manage virtual machines , they called it EC2 and Cloud computing was born. Back then we were building similar platforms for our customers, dynamic build environments that create VM's on demand based on Xen. Renderfarms that undeploy themselves when the resources are underutilized. Farms of Virtual Machines working together in cluster . Today that's cloud computing, or not.
Our experts have been writing multiple articles and even books about Open Source virtualization and have been talking about their experiences all over this globe. Obviously Open Source Virtualization is just a part of Cloud computing, but for "Infrastructure as a Service" it is a big part.
Apart from virtualization the adoption of Cloud computing also gave more visibility to tools such as Puppet and openQRM. They are key to deploy application instances in the cloud but also in enterprise environments. The step from developing an application to actually deploying in a Web2.0 world gained a lot of importance as compared to some years ago.
But have you thought about security in your Cloud ? You might want to build your own Cloud. Obviously tools such as Eucalyptus and Enomaly pop up here , both Open Source, both capable of building infrastructures that look and feel as if you are working in the public Cloud, but at your own premises.
If you want to start deploying in the Cloud or build your own private Cloud, INUITS has the expertise to help
